My week with Phil and Daisy was great. Phil, Daisy and I went to my sister's house. Phil and Daisy had to stay on the top bunk because of my sister's dog, Mink. Phil and Daisy took turns playing my DS and my cat, Fluffy, loved having Phil and Daisy with us. We also played my X-box.

Arianna's Adventure

I had a fun week with Phil and Daisy. We didn't go anywhere special, but we watched a few movies. They slept in the top bunk of my American Girl Doll's bunk bed. It was weird, on Sunday morning, when I found them out of bed and on my floor. Maybe Katie, my doll, and them had a party while I was sleeping. I think they invited Barbie over for a few hours too. I hope the next person has fun.

Samantha S's Adventure

I had Phil and Daisy for 2 weeks. We played games. They even helped me with my homework. We went to my mom-mom's house and played tag and watched some TV. At night I put their pajamas on and in the morning I dressed them. I didn't give them any chocolate. We had a merry Christmas.

Melanie's Adventures

When Phil and Daisy came over my cousin came over too. Over the weekend, I took care of them all day. When I was in school, my cousin took care of them. The things Phil, Daisy and my cousin did are:
1. fed them
2. had a tea party
3. went outside and played in the grass
4. gave them milk
5. dressed them
6. took them for a walk
7. fed them some more
8. threw grass at each other

Julie's Adventures

Today I was feeling under the weather, so Phil, Daisy and I watched some TV. The humidity outside was very high so I kept them at my house while I went to my friend's house yesterday. I'm sure my mom did something with them when I wasn't there. Even though I am not a fan of stuffed animals, I still took care of them for our troop. I think that I actually liked Phil. Every time I made my bed, Phil bounced over to me. I know it was just the springs, but it was really weird and ironic. I guess I had some fun.

Lydia's Adventures

I had the best time with Phil and Daisy. My mom and I played Old Maid and Phil and Daisy watched us. My sister was doing her project on China. Phil and I found our names in Chinese! Daisy slept with my little sister and Phil slept with me. We watched a movie called, "Millions" while eating pizza and cheese puffs. I dressed and fed Phil and Daisy. We had a really great time together. I hope the next person has fun too.

Phil's Story

It was Halloween night in 2009 and troop 9658 dressed up in costumes for their community of Trick or Treating to Scare Up Old Eyewear for the Lion's Club's annual Sight Night collection for One Sight. The One Sight Organization is "dedicated to improving vision worldwide through outreach, research and education. The troop had been collecting near the TV Station PHL 17 on Wynnefield Avenue in the Bala Cynwyd section of Philadelphia close to a railroad bridge. Near the railroad bridge was an abandoned Toys R Us that had a funny looking machine outside. As the girls went close to check it out, it felt warm to the touch. They opened it up and went inside. The door slammed closed behind them! Then it shook and jostled the girls all around the inside. Then all of a sudden, it stopped and the door popped open. The girls ran outside. They caught their breath and looked all around them. It was different! There was no Toys R Us, no buildings at all. The railroad bridge was gone too. What they saw was all open space. There was a small stream to the left. Everywhere else there was fields and there were trees that surrounded the fields, as far as you could see. To the right there was a big red barn. The girls looked at each other and continued to look around them. They decided to walk to the barn to see what they could find. When they reached the barn, they knocked. As Girl Scouts, they always minded their manners. No one answered. They were about to walk away when they heard a noise from inside. They opened the door and heard it again. One of the girls had a flashlight, so they turned it on and went inside to look around. From the corner, under a bunch of hay, they heard the noise again. The girls tippy-toed over to the hay and moved it around. When they moved the hay, they saw a mall, brown, fuzzy lump just laying there under the hay. Then the lump made the noise again. It sounded like a stomach grumbling!

The girls picked up the little brown lump and saw that she was a horse! They fussed over her and petted and passed her around for everyone to see. Her stomach continued to grumble. They decided to take her back with them since the barn was deserted. They walked back to the machine and without hesitation the door opened and they all stepped inside carrying their new horse friend. Again the machine shook and jostled the girls and the horse all about. When it stopped, the door flew open and they were back where they started, outside the Toys R Us next to the railroad bridge. Near the railroad bridge there was a Philly cheese steak stand. At the stand was the film crew for PHL 17 grabbing a bite to eat. The girls walked up to get a cheese steak for their horse friend since she was so hungry (No, horses don’t normally eat cheese steaks, but it was the only thing near by). When they walked up to the stand, the film crew commented on how adorable the horse was and they treated him to his first and only cheese steak. The girls decided to name her Phil (short for Phyllis), as a thank you to the film crew of PHL 17.
